John Edwards on NPR today

One of the few good things about being home sick today was hearing our man Edwards on a totally unplanned call in to NPR's Talk of the Nation.

One of the highlights of this 10 minute call was John making it very clear that grass roots efforts in the South, including Dr. King's, had everything to do with the success of the Civil Rights movement, Clintonian assertions to the contrary.

He also stuck to the fact that people are not polls and we have a good chance to bring about a similar grass roots change to this Presidential Race, stressing he is in it "for the long haul"

I urge you to check it out on the NPR website at http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=18085237
